The person on top of the mountain didn’t fall

“Those who stand firm during testing are blessed.” James 1:12

I used to go around saying, “God will never give us more than we can handle.” Boy, was I wrong. Actually, at times God has given me more than I could handle, and with Him, I handled it. With that perspective shift it seems my life shifted. I no longer felt like a victim, but victorious. I realized, that God uses rough seasons in life to grow us the most. I realized that, Those mountains that we are carrying are only suppose to be climbed. I realized that, God led me to it, God’s leading me through it, God’s gonna use it. Eventually, I had to stop asking God, “why me?” and say, “OK God now what?” I love the scripture in Isaiah 60 verse 22 it says, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. That puts it all into perspective, doesn’t it? That shows us all that God knows exactly where we are, at every moment, in every season. He doesn’t even need the app “family 360” to locate us. He’s all knowing and He’s got you.

Oftentimes, when people face challenges, we seek comfort in THINGS that are familiar. It may be work, an activity or relationships, and of course, we all know about “comfort food.” but those things only bring temporary comfort. True comfort is found in a personal relationship with God. It’s deciding to get up and go forth in a new season. Getting ourselves Unstuck from our stinking thinking. Getting ourselves free from Over thinking. Getting ourselves free from fear and complacency.

Comfort means to give strength and hope, to ease grief and trouble. God says, He is our comfort. So if you are going through your day full of discomfort and worry, it only means you are not spending time with God in your quiet time. Not just praying, but being quiet and listening. Do you know His voice? No matter what difficulty you may be facing today, God wants to bring you comfort. We have to be intentional and let go of those things you know are holding you back. Let Him be Lord over all. As you surrender to His grace, you will be filled with His peace and joy. You’ll be empowered to overcome every obstacle, and live as an overcomer over EVERY mountain.

I love the story about Abraham. Twenty years before He ever had a child, God said to him, “Abraham, I have made you a father to many nations.” Notice God spoke to him like it had already happened, in the past tense. I’m sure Abraham thought, “God, you must have lost your mind and made a mistake. I’m not the father. I don’t even have one child.” Abraham could have talked himself out of it, but instead, he chose to believe.

Today, you may be thinking, “I’m not blessed. I’m not confident. I’m not healthy. I’m not favored.” But when God says you’re blessed, don’t try to figure it out. Just agree with God and say, “I’m blessed.” When God calls you prosperous, don’t go check your bank account. Don’t go look at the stock report. Just agree with God and say, “I am prosperous.” Things may look impossible. That’s all right. Thats the way things looked for Abraham. but sure enough, God’s promises came to pass, and he became the father of many nations.

Remember, when you agree with God, you are positioning yourself for a miracle. You are activating His truth in your life. When things look difficult, don’t agree with your circumstances, agree with His promises because He is faithful, and He  will complete what He started in your life. I dare you to believe in yourself. I dare you to believe in God’s promises over your life. It really isn’t that difficult, it’s choosing to RENEW your mind. Stop saying you can’t. YES, YOU CAN. When you received Christ into your heart, His power now lives in you. You have God’s super power residing in you to make it through anything and everything you are faced with. I challenge you to STOP second guessing that call on your life, that move He is telling you to take. Stop second guessing that marriage. Stop second guessing “Is it God’s will for me to be healed” YES YES YES…. It is. Whose report will you believe. Stop second guessing, Still small voice inside your belly and JUMP!!! JUMP into your destiny. Stop holding yourself back.

Praying for you.

I love you.
